• The Role

The Technical Support Services Manager provides on-site Technical support to the Sustainment Director for the VLF capability at Naval Communication Station Harold E Holt in Exmouth WA. The Station is operated under contract by Raytheon Australia, under the supervision of small resident program team who provide management and oversight over the contractor managed operations of the Station.

The Support Services Technical Manager will provide technical assurance and oversight over all Technical activities conducted by Raytheon, including oversight of on-site maintenance activities, working with the Support Services Engineering Manager and providing technical advice and data to the VLF Principal Engineer.

This role is eligible for an additional remuneration benefit known in Defence as a Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCP). This enables Defence to provide a premium, in addition to the base salary otherwise payable under the Defence Enterprise Agreement (DEA), for positions in occupational disciplines / classifications that are critical to Defence capability. The resident program team located at Naval Communication Station Harold E Holt is a small, dedicated team of Commonwealth staff responsible for the management of the station which is operated by Raytheon Australia under contract. The team is located on-site at the Station, which is located six kilometres outside of the town of Exmouth in Northern WA.
