Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Senior Accountant will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial operations. You will bring strong technical accounting skills and a proactive approach to process improvement, ideally backed by experience in the NDIS and not-for-profit sectors.
What you'll do : Prepare and review monthly financial reports, balance sheet reconciliations, and cash flow statements Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis Ensure compliance with NDIS pricing arrangements and regulatory requirements Prepare and lodge BAS, PAYG, and other statutory requirements Support year-end audit processes and liaise with external auditors Improve and streamline financial systems and processes Mentor and support junior finance staff as required Provide financial insights to support decision-making across the organisation What you bring : Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or related field CPA / CA qualification (or working towards) Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar senior accounting role Experience in NDIS and / or not-for-profit sectors highly regarded Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards and compliance obligations Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., MYOB, Xero, or similar) and Microsoft Excel Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples are encouraged to apply.
