- ABOUT THE ROLE
The Learning Technologies Officer (LTO) is responsible for the development and maintenance of learning support technologies. The LTO also provides advice and support for SAE's users on the suite of learning technologies (staff and students). The LTO liaises with the Manager, Digital Experience on specific training needs and development priorities as part of a quality enhancement cycle for all delivery modes.
- The main responsibilities include
- Ensuring learning technologies in use deliver on staff and student expectations to enable learning and improve student experience
- Providing support to users of the systems and tools in use
- Building capability within users
- Ensuring systems and tools are kept up-to-date and provide feedback on possible enhancements
- Working closely with the Manager, Digital Experience and the other members of the Digital Experience team in developing and implementing best use on learning support technologies within quality standards related to any mode of online supported delivery
- Drive solutions for the Digital Experience team, in the context of a large and geographically dispersed organization..
- The person we seek will ideally have the following
- Well-developed analytical skills including the ability to balance technical acumen problem solving abilities and interpersonal skills,
- Coding skills in SQL, HTML, CSS, Excel.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Moodle (LMS) administration and demonstrated experience in administration, configuration and reporting capabilities,
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, ensuring clear understanding of requirements and provide optimal service to meet needs,
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team, use initiative, determine priorities, and maintain effective working relationships.
