So, if you're ready to make a real difference in the world and join a company where your hard work and passion will be truly valued, apply today!We are currently looking for a Purchasing Officer to join our Procurement team to provide excellent customer service to our internal stakeholders and work closely with our Production, Sourcing and Quality teams, with the shared objective of delighting our customers on a day-to-day basis.This role will be based at our Melbourne Fulfilment Centre in Altona North (VIC 3025).Your Role : Providing all required materials to all Fulfilment Centres (FCs) across Australia in the right quantity, in the right location and at the right time.Being accountable for successful completion of all assigned category purchasing activities.Communicating and developing relationships with suppliers, production, and operations teams on a daily basis to ensure production efficiencies and constant improvements.Supporting the creation and development of a diverse range of purchasing tools like ERP systems, Excel, Google Sheets, Platform app builders (e.g.

Zoho Creator, Foods Connected).Gathering, manipulating, and transforming data from different sources to generate reports and improve the efficiency and accuracy of several workflows for the purchasing team.Analysing usage and wastage costs to develop strategies that reduce food waste and eliminate shortfalls.Tracking and maintaining various reports related to supplier performance (e.g.

Foods Connected) and actioning follow ups with suppliers.Reviewing and actioning invoice approvals, as well as resolving any supplier payment discrepancies.Analysing inventory and stock, including analysis of detailed records of inventory usage to ensure business processes are executed as designed and are achieving desired outcomes.Requirements : Min 2 years Experience in the Fresh Produce industry (markets, processing, purchasing, buying, imports / exports, fumigation, transport).Ability to develop and plan efficient ordering processes, based on MOQ (minimum order quantities), lead times and shelf life.Proficiency or familiarity with ERP systems would be favourable.Confidence with Google Data Studio and G-suite products.Naturally organised with excellent attention to detail.Collaborator who works well across teams and functions, with the ability to manage a fast-paced workload with enthusiasm and a can-do attitude.Embraces a team culture, and committed to making a positive difference and impact in their role.What you'll get : Discounted Marley Spoon boxes, delivered to your door!Formal training and development (5 paid training days per year!
