An Associate / Senior Associate To Join Litigation Team

Align Law is a full-service law firm based in Melbourne CBD. We are looking for an experienced lawyer to join our commercial litigation team.

Our litigation team is led by an experienced and personable Principal Lawyer who is keen to build a collegiate and high-performing team to work on a variety of interesting and complex matters locally and internationally.

The team is young and energetic. It already has a stable pipeline of work and matters in the superior courts, including cases involving some of the biggest property developments in town.

The work is interesting and varied and the expectation is that the successful candidate would become an integral and active member of the team.

This role provides a unique and rare opportunity for an ambitious and energetic lawyer who has a passion for litigation and to develop their career to partnership level in the near future (if desired).

What we are looking for :

Minimum of 3-5 years of PAE in commercial litigation A team player who thrives working with others Ability to manage files in an organised manner and to work autonomously Adept in communicating with clients, barristers, experts and opposing solicitors Strong drafting and analytical skills and proficient in managing a high volume of documents Working knowledge of the civil procedure rules of courts at state and federal level and VCAT Experience in construction related disputes is a bonus but not essentialPlease submit your cover letter, a copy of your CV and academic transcripts by no later than 31 July 2025 to
