Large Federal Government Department with a strong budget position.

We are working with a high profile, project focused area of this government department. If successful in securing this role you'll be leading a team of business partners and providing strategic financial advice to project managers and the execs.

As the EL2 in the area, you will be leading a team of staff at the EL1, APS6 and APS5 level. You'll provide the final oversight over reports and briefs, manage the workload and workflow within the team, and develop and maintain relationship across the business line and wider CFO area.

This department uses SAP as their FMIS and TM1 for their reporting. The project area you'll be supporting is high profile, it will give you great opportunity to network and build your brand with the CFO, the broader business groups, and across the finance area.

This is a permanent role, available via an S26 transfer, or as a 12 months non-ongoing engagement initially.

You have worked in a management accounting or finance business partner role at the EL2 level (or equivalent from ACT / state government) previously. You must be able to demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to develop business relationships, and leading teams.

You must also be able demonstrate experience of coordinating and delivering monthly management reporting packs and providing analysis and advice related to this.
