We are seeking a high outcome-focused Risk Director to lead our Risk Policy and Governance team, within the Enterprise Risk Management Branch.
As a Risk Director , you will provide expert risk policy and governance advice to the ATO, including conformance with the Commonwealth Risk Management Policy and the ATO’s Risk Management Chief Executive Instructions and Risk Management Framework.
You will oversee the operations of the ATO Risk Committee and develop comprehensive submissions for senior audiences, including the Audit and Risk Committee and ATO Executive. You’ll provide expert advice to diverse senior stakeholders, including the risk owners and managers of the ATO’s enterprise risks.
You will exercise a significant degree of independence and be required to undertake work with a high level of complexity or sensitivity, and operate under the broad direction of the Chief Risk Officer. You’ll lead a team focused on providing expert organisational risk management advice to support the achievement of agency objectives, and to improve decision making and performance outcomes.
This role may be offered on an ongoing or non-ongoing basis in Adelaide, Albury, Box Hill (VIC), Canberra, Melbourne CBD, Moonee Ponds, Newcastle or Parramatta . A merit pool may be formed and used to fill future similar vacancies in these locations and other locations within the same metropolitan area.
