The Queensland Museum Network (QMN) is the custodian of the state's natural and cultural heritage, caring for more than a million items and specimens in collections that tell the changing story of Queensland. Reporting to the Head, People and Culture and supported by a small team, this position is full-time, permanent and flexible. You will be primarily located at South Brisbane, but you'll need to be able to work across our entire network.
In your role, you will partner closely with our line managers, and initially, support them to effectively manage and resolve their employee and industrial relation matters. These types of matters include, but is not limited to, the management of conflicts, grievances, QIRC Appeals, Show Cause / Disciplinary processes, Workplace Investigations, Performance Improvement, Conduct etc.
We are looking for someone who is a team player and has strong facilitation, collaboration and change management skills. You'll also need to be able to confidently present and provide expert advice on a range of matters, as well as have an in-depth understanding of our legislative and CaPE Case Categorisation Frameworks.
This will be a challenging role, but you will be supported by the Head, People and Culture and the Executive Leadership Team. As capability grows across the network, we anticipate that your role will evolve so that employee and industrial matters are managed in a more proactive way.
