Your Opportunity
As our Protection Engineering Manager, your skills and knowledge of electrical protection delivery and risk management will be key to Energy Queensland’s continued success and growth.
You are a competent people leader who also provides technical RPEQ protection advice to the business. You lead a specialised skillset in the organisation, and your days will see you focus on people leadership, efficient delivery, providing technical expertise, and assessing risk management.
Once in the role, you will spend your time between acting as a subject matter expert overseeing the delivery of projects, and also coaching and mentoring yourteam. Further duties include :
Foster a culture of excellence by delivering high performance, positively leading change, encouraging open communication, and promoting cross-collaboration and innovation.
Provide RPEQ supervision to technical employees based locally and remotely.
Provide technical leadership and direction, ensuring delivery of engineering activities by making significant engineering decisions.
Apply and provide feedback on the application of standards and processes used in the application of protection systems
Focus on delivery, reliability, security, cost, safety, and environmental issues, utilising risk-based techniques to ensure optimal outcomes.
With either a 9 or 10 day fortnight in place, the bottom of the salary band starts from $206,634 for 9 days and $233,498 for 10 days + 14.75% superannuation .

You will hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering that meets the qualification requirements of the Washington Accord, and be a RPEQ .
