Match & Wood is an award-winning independent media agency and we are looking for a passionate Communications Manager to join our Perth team, in a role that spans client management, team management, planning & buying.

What you will be doing

Your role as Communications Manager is to provide effective media support to our clients across all areas of media. You have the opportunity to leverage your existing skill set into new areas of growth around media planning, buying and client management, and oversee your own personnel.

Day to day activities

• Harnessing the most progressive media systems in the game, and being trained by craft experts
• Media buying and campaign management across multiple channels. We are looking for people who are keen to become well-rounded media practitioners across both traditional & digital channels, and we have best-in-class training and development to help you achieve this.
• Take client briefs, interrogate them, define the challenge, and complete the reverse brief
• Begin inputting into media & channel strategies with support from your manager and the strategy team as required
• Develop media plans and author implementation recommendations based on assigned media budgets
• Media briefing and negotiations with support from your manager and investment leads as required
• Compile reporting and analysis that is both insightful and informs future campaign activity
• Creation, use, and management of campaign dashboards
• Competitive runs using AC Nielsen and authoring of competitive reports
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, partner agencies (creative, PR, research) and media owners (always brief appropriately & provide feedback post-briefings)
• You will be required to manage a small team, overseeing their training schedules, workloads and media execution, as well as inspiring and supporting them every day

Required experience

This role is best suited to someone with 3+ years experience, ideally within a media agency.
