Umwelt is an Australian owned and run environmental consultancy that has been operating for over 30 years across Australia. We are a team of vibrant professionals with experience across a range of sectors including renewables, infrastructure, defence, regulation and policy, resources, and the urban development sector. We provide fully integrated environmental and social assessment and management services including concept and feasibility, technical assessment, consultation, approvals, delivery, operation, and decommissioning. Currently Umwelt are looking to appoint a Senior WHS Advisor to their national HSEQ team.

About the Role

As a Senior WHS Advisor, you will play a key role in promoting a positive safety culture among our clients and ensuring high standards of health, safety, environmental, and quality in all our projects. You will collaborate with and assist the Safety, Quality, and Integrated Systems Lead in carrying out and sustaining project related workplace health and safety initiatives and related reporting with a strong emphasis on compliance and continuous improvement. This role will operate at a national level and assist our managers and key staff throughout the company to help them use certified systems in WHS, Quality and Environmental Management efficiently.

This role will perform various tasks such as compliance, auditing, finding areas for improvement, creating policies and procedures, and achieving results that match our clients project requirements. You will ensure that all safety guidelines and procedures are followed, manage the execution of risk assessments, lead risk mitigation activities, and supervise (or assist) as needed in investigation activities.
