About The Role
Join our dynamic Perth-based workshop team as a Mechanical Fitter , where you'll be involved in the assembly, maintenance, and testing of specialised machinery and components. We're looking for skilled tradespeople who take pride in quality work and bring a strong focus on safety and continuous improvement.
What We're Looking For
Trade Qualification : Certificate III in Engineering (Fitting) Industry Experience : Prior work in manufacturing or special-purpose machine building is highly desirable. Safety First : A proactive safety mindset and a commitment to upholding our uncompromising safety culture. Team Player : Comfortable working in a multi-disciplinary team and independently when required. Technical Capability : Confident in reading and interpreting GA drawings, manuals, and technical documentation. Communication : Strong verbal and written communication skills.
You'll ideally have experience with :
Fits and tolerances (ISO standards). Precision fitting using methods such as heating, pressing, induction, or liquid nitrogen. Bearings, seals (mechanical, rubber, plastic), and cleanliness practices. Fasteners, threads, and torque specifications. Use of compounds like Loctite, anti-seize, and lubrication products. Drive systems including belts, chains, VSDs, and gearboxes. Basic understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems (mechatronics a plus).
Bonus Skills :
SMP assembly, trial fit, and FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing). Manual machining, equipment setup, and basic MIG welding. Additional tickets : Forklift, Overhead Crane (pendant), EWP, Working at Heights.
