- About the Role
We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Female Support Worker to assist an elderly woman with Down syndrome. This role requires providing personalized support and care, respecting the participant's rights, dignity, and cultural needs. Comprehensive training will be provided prior to commencing work.
- Shift Hours
- 4 : 00 PM - 8 : 00 PM (Monday - Sunday)
- Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care, including assistance with hygiene, grooming, and dressing
- Supervise and support the participant's daily activities
- Assist with feeding and other related tasks
- Ensure a safe and comfortable environment for the participant
- About You
- A genuine enthusiasm for working in the disability sector
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with both participants and management
- A positive, proactive, and empathetic approach to supporting individuals with disabilities
- An understanding of supporting participants in a manner that respects their rights, dignity, values, beliefs, cultural needs, and personal goals
- Position Requirements
- Ability to work the specified hours (non-negotiable)
- Certificate IV in Disability
- Previous experience in the disability sector
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Police Check
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Completion of NDIS Worker Orientation Module
- Access to a car with comprehensive insurance
- Smartphone
- Digital copy of COVID-19 vaccination certificate or immunisation evidence

- This position is not suitable for students
