With a strong focus on a person-centered approach to care and support, you will oversee the operations of our 40-bed facility to ensure the delivery of high-quality services that meet and exceed all required standards.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the center, including the delivery of care and support services to residents. You will provide leadership that aligns with and upholds our core values, ensuring a compassionate and effective approach to resident care.

- Oversee key business processes, including operational management, financial oversight, quality improvement, and risk management.
- Financial Management
- Monitor and manage financial performance, ensuring targets for income and expenditure are met.
- Staffing and Rostering
- Ensure efficient and effective rostering to minimize the impact on residents, while promoting consistency and quality care.
- Compliance and Risk Management
- Oversee the use of WH&S and injury management systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards and legislation.
- Resident Care and Support
- Ensure the physical, social, emotional, spiritual, and clinical needs of residents are met in alignment with best practices and regulatory standards.
- Family Support
- Understand and support the rights of families, and manage the resident induction process, including site tours and family conferences.
- Standards and Innovation
- Provide an environment that supports high standards of service delivery, and foster an innovative approach to care.
- Continuous Improvement
- Actively pursue continuous improvement, ensuring that feedback from customers, staff, and clinical teams is collected, analyzed, and acted upon.
- Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with aged care standards, legislation, and BaptistCare policies, including conducting internal audits and assessments.
- Workforce Development
- Drive recruitment, staff development, and leadership within the facility, encouraging ongoing professional growth.
- Clinical Governance
- Contribute to the improvement of the Clinical Governance Framework, and ensure implementation of clinical governance actions.
- Collaboration and Integration
- Ensure effective collaboration across professional disciplines and integrate services within the facility, including regular meetings with staff, residents, and families.
- Safety and Legislation
- Maintain compliance with Work Health & Safety, Equal Employment Opportunity, and other relevant legislation, ensuring sound work practices.
This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient operation of the facility while upholding the values and standards of BaptistCare, providing a high level of leadership and care to all residents.
- Skills and Experience
- Tertiary level qualification in an appropriate field and / or broad-based and extensive experience in managing a diverse, dynamic and complex service
- Exceptional contemporary leadership skills, Postgraduate management qualification or achievement towards such qualifications
- Demonstrated leadership and performance management experience
- Proven high level of clinical competencies with excellent clinical analysis, interpretation and planning skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead a multi-disciplinary team in the delivery of person-centred support
- An understanding of financial management principles with the ability to interpret, act and deliver solid financial results
- A good understanding and experience of contemporary human resources practices and management practice
