Defence Finance Specialist / Project Controls

The Role
Project Controls Lead you will
You will also assist in the development of work breakdown structures, project performance and financial metrics, project estimation processes and cost and pricing submissions. In
addition
you will ensure projects are compliant with the controls and processes you implement and you will be instrumental in helping to select a new project scheduling software package
and other tools as needed
Experience within a Defence Finance position is required, experience within CASG projects or DFG is highly desirable. While some initial position-specific training will be provided, we are looking for an experienced finance specialist who is able to join the team and manage the Finance Cell. This will include supporting all projects within the SPO, providing finance training to project controllers, and creating guidance and SOPs for project finances. The Finance Manager is required to manage the broadsheet and provide regular reporting for senior executives. Commercial acumen and experience with contracts and procurement is highly desirable.
Required Qualifications, Experience and Knowledge
Significant experience in project scheduling and controls, including experience with earned value management (EVM)
Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing project controls procedures
High level organisation and reporting abilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
A strong background in either project management or project accounting is preferred
NV1 minimum requirement, with an NV2 or TSPV preferred.
