Disability Support Worker (Casual)

We are recruiting for a number of casual support workers in the Blue Mountains / Kotoomba area in NSW.

In this role you will be providing a wide range of tasks to aid customers in maintaining their independence and dignity including :

• Assistance with domestic tasks such as cleaning, self care and laundry
• Assistance with disability related needs
• Assisting customers with their transportation needs
• Assistance with community participation based tasks
• Building meaningful positive relationships with customers
• Track and document the customers progress
• Follow procedures in reporting incidents
• Ethical disability Services Pty Ltd are looking for

Motivated individuals who demonstrate empathy and enthusiasm who :

• Have knowledge of NDIS, disability services, WHS as well as a first aid certificate
• Have excellent communication skills including the ability to interact with both verbal and non verbal customers
• Have flexibility to work 24 / 7 as supports may include evening, overnight or sleepover shifts
• Have qualifications in aged or disability care (cert 3 or higher)
• Have minimum 2 years experience in supporting people with disabilities or complex needs
• Are willing to provide an NDIS workers check, working with children check and police check
• Are covid-19 vaccinated
• Have a valid Victorian drivers license and reliable transport
• Have the right to work in Australia
