Payroll Manager

The Role

• The successful Payroll Manager will be responsible for
• Processing all hotels' pay runs and all related matters with a high degree of accuracy, ensuring processing and payment deadlines are met.
• Ensuring compliance with Company, ATO, State and Federal requirements including Eligible Termination Payments, Superannuation and Record Keeping.
• Developing and improving upon existing payroll structures, develop checklists and SOP's to ensure all payroll related tasks and duties are executed.
• Recruiting, developing and managing a part-time payroll officer to support payroll processing.
• Interpreting employee's entitlements under the relevant industrial instrument, specifically the hotels EBA, the Hospitality Industry General Award and the Fair Work Act.
• Resolving payroll enquiries effectively and efficiently, and implement follow up procedures to minimise any payroll related errors.
• Conducting regular payroll audits.
• Being the HumanForce champion, including in-depth understanding of the system's functions and capabilities including reporting engagement and ownership and supporting department managers to use the system to its fullest capability.

Talent Profile

• Ideally you will have
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Certificate or Degree preferable in finance, accounting, payroll or equivalent
• HumanForce and Sage Micropay Payroll system experience preferred, however system training will be provided
• Relevant experience in Australian payroll systems and processes, EBAs, HIGA and payroll analytics
