Based in Rosny Park as the Family and Youth Practitioner, you will be working across two programs supporting young people and families within a case management framework.
Integrated Family Support Service (IFSS) is a voluntary service focused on increasing the safety, stability, and wellbeing of children, young people, and their families by providing support and resources to build family strengths, resilience, and capacity. The service provides early intervention for children and families at risk of entering the Child Safety system. This is done by supporting the family to identify patenting-based goals and then working collaboratively to achieve these.
The Sexual Assault Support Service (SASS) deliver the Prevention, Assessment, Support and Treatment of harmful sexual behaviours (PAST) program for children and young people (aged 17 years and under) who are displaying Harmful Sexual Behaviour (HSB). Mission Australia provide lead support coordination in collaboration with SASS who provide clinical interventions. The focus being on building connections between services and stakeholders, developing a common case plan and supporting the young person to reach their goals.
With a significant background in child, youth & family and / or Social Welfare / Social Science, you will be confident in your case management and assessment processes. Other requirements include :
