We are proud to partner exclusively with a leading global organisation in the academic sector to recruit a highly capable and experienced Corporate Property and Lease Manager. This is a rare opportunity for a commercially astute property professional to manage a diverse, high-volume commercial lease portfolio at a senior operational level.
In this pivotal role, you will ensure optimal lease administration, compliance, reporting, and strategic oversight—working collaboratively with internal business units, finance and legal teams, and external service providers. You will play a key role in enabling business operations through robust property and lease management practices.
Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end lease management across a portfolio of 100+ commercial properties.Provide expert guidance on lease obligations, commercial terms, and conflict resolution.Develop and implement policies, processes, and governance frameworks related to property and leasing.Collaborate with Finance to manage budgeting, lease cost control, and financial reporting.Oversee risk management strategies and ensure compliance with all legal and operational lease requirements.Maintain accurate, timely lease data through lease management systems and prepare insightful reports for senior stakeholders.Support due diligence, insurance renewals, acquisitions, and audit processes.Manage external contractors, ensuring alignment with business and lease obligations.Review and manage lease documentation, liaising with legal counsel and external stakeholders to ensure accuracy, currency, and commercial integrity.Skills, Experience, and Attributes Required Extensive experience in corporate property and facilities management.Demonstrated ability to manage large volumes of leases across varied commercial property sectors.Deep knowledge of Australian lease legislation, with the ability to interpret complex lease clauses across multiple jurisdictions.Experience supporting stakeholders through education, guidance, and mentoring in leasing and property matters.Exceptional communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels.Strong project management capabilities and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.Financial acumen, including experience in budgeting and reporting via lease or property management systems.Proficiency with lease administration platforms.Ability to work independently while supporting cross-functional teams and business objectives.Why This Role?
