Architectural Draftsperson - Mass Timber

Help us drive the uptake of mass timber design and construction in Australia, by joining our brilliant design and build team in a supporting Draftsperson role on a full time basis. We are looking for a mass timber and resilient design specialist with proven and broad experience in design, and at least some experience in construction.

• ABOUT THE ROLE.

This position is ideal for an autonomous and driven Architectural Draftsperson. You will need a strong focus and passion for environmentally conscious design, and be ready to work with less popular construction methodologies, especially mass timber (CLT), with a specific focus in resilient design. You will be supported in your role by a Lead Architect, General Manager, a Construction Manager, and a small team of brilliant Designers, and enjoy a high degree of collaboration and balance between design and delivery.

• DUTIES.
• Strong Revit documentation skills
• Attend site visits and client meetings
• Assist with detailed 2D documentation inc. floorplans, elevations, RCPs, joinery, electrical design and layouts
• Assist in preparing 3D CAD models
• Manage digital and physical project filing systems and be responsible for basic project I admin
• Liaise with clients, consultants and councils, along with the build team
• Coordination of design from concept to delivery
• Work across multiple projects at different stages
• SKILLS & EXPERIENCE.
• Tertiary qualification in Architecture
• Minimum 2 years working (post-grad) in a Design studio
• Proven mass timber and resilient design experience
• Strong construction knowledge
• Demonstrated conceptual design skills and hand sketching ability
• Revit, InDesign and SketchUp proficient, with in-studio experience
• Ability to produce and coordinate Approval documentation
• Construction Documentation
• Highly organised and strong administrative skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• SALARY.

Minimum $75,000 + Superannuation

Dependant on Applicant expertise and knowledge
