Parks And Gardens Labourers - Council Workers

We currently have exciting opportunities for Parks and Gardens workers to join local government positions, providing work life balance with a 9 day - 76-hour fortnight roster. With council locations both North and South of the river, we are looking for experienced workers to commence ASAP.

There are multiple job positions across different Park operations team : Streetscapes, mower operators, natural area conservation, irrigation and reticulation assistance.

Duties will include, but are not limited to the following :

• Maintenance of council grounds, ovals and verges
• Turf laying and maintenance
• Maintenance of irrigation system.
• Operating push and ride on mowers
• Operating general gardening equipment, such as; hedgers, trimmers, cutters,
• Garden maintenance including; planting, mulching, weeding
• Operating a Chainsaw
• Other duties as required
• Essential Criteria
• White Card
• Irrigation installer certificate - desirable
• National Police Clearance - ability to obtain
• Ability to pass Drug and Alcohol test
• Certificate 3 Horticulture - desirable
• Chainsaw Ticket - desirable
• Truck Licence - desirable
