This is a newly created position, and you will be welcomed with open arms as our client is ready for someone to own People and Culture and drive the business on to continued success.
The business is fast-paced and has various divisions including sales and service, so you be working with a mix of white and blue-collar staff, who have very different needs.
You have the option to be based out of the Melville or Rockingham site, however, the expectation will be that you visit all three sites (the third is located between the two) as required, so the whole team can get to know you.
WHAT ARE YOU IN FOR?This is a standalone HR role, perfect for a Generalist. Reporting directly to the MD, you will be responsible for all aspects of HR for staff across three locations in the Perth metro area. Your role will cover :
Managing all recruitment activity from advertising through to onboarding of new staffManaging performance reviews and management processes, and attending relevant meetingsAlways treating staff with empathy and care. Employee relations and conflict resolution will play a part of your role to some extentBeing a champion of culture, and coordinating staff eventsWorkplace Health and Safety - to the extent of ensuring safety meetings are had and logged appropriately through to ensuring policies are up to dateWorking with an outsourcing company to settle new employees joining from overseas to PerthLooking after internal employee communicationHR administration including off-boardingTHE NITTY GRITTYMore than anything, we require someone with empathy, who is approachable and loves working with people. If you don't meet those requirements, HR probably is not for you! As this is a "People and Culture" role, it's important that you are aware that you are the face (along with the senior leadership team) of all things culture, so we are seeking a "culture enhancer".
