• About the role

The full-time position of 'Landscape Maintenance Assistant' has opened on our team. The role involves, but is not limited to :

• Performing general garden maintenance duties : mowing, pruning, weeding, hedging, etc.
• Assisting your gardening team leader in day-to-day duties
• Maintaining tools and equipment
• Maintaining and improving customer relationships with friendly communication and great work!
• Physical work duties - carrying materials and equipment, pushing wheelbarrows, etc.

This is a physical, hands-on position, so please be honest with us and yourself about your physical abilities. We need this role to be filled by someone who isn't afraid of 'getting stuck in' and has the fitness level required to fulfill their duties safely.

• Skills and experience

While all of the below are required / desired, we are building a company based on values and great people, so a fantastic attitude is a must! To be successful in this role you must :

• Have proven experience in Landscape / Garden Maintenance - e.g. a past position in a similar role / qualification, etc.
• Be able to work unmanaged when required and follow instructions along with our work processes and procedures.
• An Australian drivers licence (Manual), experience driving with trailers and a clean driving record would allow you to move into a team leader position.
• Be able to take initiative and have great time, job and people-management skills.
• Be physically fit - e.g. able to dig, push wheelbarrows, carry equipment and materials, handle working on your feet / crouching / etc.
• Have an excellent work ethic and 'can do' attitude.

A horticulture background is not required but would make a big impact. A good knowledge of plants, especially native, and how to look after them is crucial - along with a willingness to learn and improve your knowledge.
