- Draftsperson - Planning and Urban Design
Are you inspired by working on projects that will one day become places where communities prosper and thrive?
We are seeking a highly motivated draftsperson to work on varied and exciting planning and urban design projects using the primarily MicroStation CAD software platform.
Our drafting and urban design team work collaboratively with our planners to produce graphics, plans, diagrams, and visualisations that are accurate, engaging, and contemporary. Our projects include some of WA's major developments and communities.
Are you our new draftee?Experience with CAD software, and a proven ability to quickly learn new softwareA high attention to detailHappy working in small teams and excellent communication skillsSelf-motivated to develop new skills and achieve great outcomes for clientsAbility to manage your time well to achieve competing client deadlines, and stay calm under pressureExperience (and desire to learn more) with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator and Photoshop primarily), SketchUp or similarA background working in the planning and / or urban design areasA relevant qualification and / or considerable work experience that includes a significant component of drafting (town planning, landscape architecture, cartography)Focused on good design outcomes and able to communicate effectively using visual representationsExperience in 3D modelling software to create visualisationsExperience in the preparation of illustrations, including hand drawingAbility to interpret and manage data from a variety of sources and disciplines, including surveying, engineering, environmental, landscaping, and architectureKnowledge of graphic design principlesAn IT wiz - that is you can easily use a range of computer programs like Microsoft 365, SketchUp, GIS mapping and moreGraduates and those new to drafting will be considered, and in-depth training will be provided. Salary will be proportionate with experience._
