Finance Manager

The Company

Our client is a producer and supplier of polymer seals designed for use in a wide range of equipment supporting the mining industry in WA, nationally and internationally. Based in the northern business hub of Wangara with parking available and excellent coffee close by!

The role

A key role in the business, working approximately 24 hours per week with additional hours expected during peak periods e.g. annual budget setting and some flexibility with days / hours. The Finance Manager is a core member of the management team and plays a hands-on role in shaping financial strategy and performance as the business continues to grow.

Key Details :

• Reports to : General Manager with a direct report from a Payroll & Accounts Officer
• Liaison : Regular engagement with Australian Shareholders and overseas based Finance team, external auditors and accountants
• Preferred qualifications : CA (or equivalent)
• Experience : Ideally with some experience in a manufacturing environment with cost accounting and strong analytical skills
• Attributes : Confident presenter, proactive mindset and a collaborative approach
• Location : Based in Wangara, NOR

The role goes well beyond spreadsheets as they need someone who can proactively analyze the numbers, identify trends or anomalies (e.g. scrap rates, freight charges etc) and bring actionable insights to the GM’s attention.
