This is an opportunity to work for the largest local health district in NSW servicing a population of 900,000+ across the Hunter, New England and Lower Mid North Coast areas. John Hunter Hospital is a Level 6, tertiary referral, major trauma and teaching hospital and is the largest hospital in Hunter New England Local Health District with approximately 650 beds and growing and we have strong, innovative connections with Hunter Medical Research Institute and University of Newcastle. The Rehabilitation Medicine Department provides Inpatient, Outpatient, Day Hospital, Acute Inreach, Rehab in the Home, and is developing TeleRehab services. Specialist services for TBI, SCI, and Amputee are also delivered by this Department, as well as Generalist, Stroke, Trauma, and more.
