- Payroll Officer
We are currently seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Payroll Officer to work full-time, in collaboration with our Finance, Operations and HR Teams to deliver efficient and accurate payroll services, from the Gungahlin Lakes Golf and Community Club.
ObjectivesThe key objective of the Payroll Officer role is to facilitate the end-to-end processing of Company payroll on a weekly basis, ensuring that all employee payroll records are accurate and appropriately maintained.
Key ResponsibilitiesEnd-to-end processing of all weekly company payrolls, including timesheet approval verification and STP submission and electronic payments, and generating required reports for the executive and management teams.Generate weekly and monthly payroll summaries and respective journal posting in the accounting system.Prepare and submit monthly superannuation via Quicksuper clearing house.Resolve any payroll discrepancies through appropriate award interpretation and communication with managers.Provide accurate calculations and processing, as required, such as : termination and redundancy payments, BOOT and long service leave calculations.Assist the Finance Team with the preparation of EOFY payroll and financial audits.Facilitate the payment of, and associated compliance with, the ACT Leave Portable LSL Scheme.Ensure annual award increments are appropriately updated and reflected in the payroll system.Assist with general financial and HR administration tasks, as directed by Management.Any other duties as listed in the PD for the role, or as directed by ManagementPayroll Officer Position RequirementsKnowledge of payroll-related legislation.Knowledge of _Registered and Licensed Clubs Award 2020 _- desirable.Understanding of _foundU _payroll software - desirable.High-level IT knowledge and skills to facilitate computer systems use, including payroll software, Microsoft Suite etc.Minimum two (2) years' payroll processing experience.Experienced in roster management.Previous experience in a hospitality (clubs) environment - desirable.Additional Employee BenefitsEmployee assistance programOpportunities for career progression across a wide range of specialisationsTraining and development opportunitiesSupportive team environmentDiscounted food and coffee on rostered workdaysFree parkingAdditional club benefitsAPPLICATIONSIf you feel you have the skill set to take on this role within one of Canberra's leading club groups, please submit your resume, stating relevant experience, on the Seek portal.
