Job descriptionEnvironmental Assessment Officer Temporary position, opportunity for ongoing work Monday - Friday, 8 : 30am - 4 : 30pm 41.38 per hour The Role Provide professional support to the Environmental Assessment Unit Provide environmental assessment planning and land use management advice to clients Research and keep abreast of emerging issues in matter of land use and Environmental Assessment practices to allow for the continual enhancement of the capabilities and competencies of the team Demonstrate sound levels of initiative in work related matters, time and problem solving and negotiation skills Qualifications & Experience Demonstrated experience in private consulting or Local Government Development Assessment Basic understanding of land use planning legislative mechanisms Achievement in effectively preparing professional correspondence and reports Sound problem solving, negotiation and time management skills Current police check, or willingness to obtain one
