Your new roleProviding specialist procurement policy advice and support to departmental staffProblem solving with a strong client focus;Completing compliance and quality assurance checks on approvals, tender documentation and contract documentation prior to finalisation;Reporting activities which include but are not limited to; Senate Order, Annual Report on contractors and consultants, Indigenous Procurement Policy, Grant reporting, Questions on Notice, Senate estimate briefs and AusTender reporting;Embedding procurement best practice through department procedures and processes;Engaging with key internal and external stakeholders, including the Department of FinanceProviding some ad hoc advice in the Financial Frameworks spaceWhat you'll need to succeedAn understanding of the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013 and the Commonwealth Procurement Rules;Ability to work independently with little to no supervision and manage workloads to ensure quality and timely advice;Well-developed oral, written and interpersonal skills;Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;Experienced in the use of FMIS TechnologyOneWhat you'll get in returnIf you are looking for a permanent or temporary transfer in the APS this a great opportunity for you to further develop your skills and experience.
