General Hand

Our client based in the South East was established in 1992 and are an Industry leader who specialise in the mechanical repair and major inspection of truck mounted EWP's, Crane borers, Vehicle loading cranes, Carrier trucks, Scissor lifts and associated equipment used in the Electricity, Gas, Rail, Telecommunication Industries.

Due to growth they are currently recruiting for a Permanent Trade Assistant / General Hand to join their team.

• 7 : 30 - 4pm Monday to Friday
• Potential for Overtime on Saturdays 6am - 12noon
• Progression to move into other roles within the business
• 30 per hour
• Key Duties
• Undertaking general labouring and general hand duties
• Cutting, sanding and drilling
• Cleaning and washing equipment and components
• Preparing equipment and components for assembly
• Factory & equipment maintenance duties
• Assist and support trades in the workshop
• Packing and receiving goods
• To be successful
• Previous experience with hand and power tools
• Previous experience working on vehicles or plant equipment would be advantageous
• Drivers license ideally driving a manual but not essential
• Forklift license is advantageous
• High Risk EWP / Scissor lift license preferred but not essential
• Truck license advantageous but not essential
