Oversee the management of NHMRC's property services including repairs and maintenance, liaison with landlords and outsourced property management services supplier, and security access (including building / floor / car parking pass allocation and management).Manage compliance and assurance within the security governance framework, including the mandatory requirements of the Protective Security Policy Framework to create a positive security culture.Assist in the management of NHMRC's Emergency Management Framework and Business Continuity Plan, acting as the first point of contact for security and building incidents including after-hours callouts when necessary.Contribute to strategic planning and reporting against government requirements, including the development, implementation, monitoring and review of NHMRC's security and property plans, policy and procedures.Prepare high quality written correspondence, submissions and secretariat support to the Security Governance Committee.Manage security and property-related projects, including leading the implementation and relevant reporting, procurement activities and stakeholder management.Liaise with the Work Health and Safety team to address WHS matters related to tenancy including inspections, workstation assessments and service requests.Lead and supervise junior team members to build a high performing team and positive culture.Core capabilitiesAbility to supervise, motivate and support a small team including setting prioritises, managing high performance, and fostering a positive workplace culture.Proven experience delivering and implementing property and facilities management projects.Sound knowledge and experience in implementing security frameworks, particularly the Protective Security Policy Framework.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build productive working relationships.Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to draft policies, reports, briefing material and project reports.Strong skills in building operations including oversight of maintenance coordination, refurbishment, vendor management and office relocation.Highly desirableDemonstrated knowledge and experience of the following will be highly regarded :
Relevant experience and knowledge of WHS approaches and frameworksWorking with whole of government property service providersAn understanding of Business Continuity principlesMandatory requirementEligibilityTo be eligible for a position at NHMRC you must be an Australian citizen and be able to provide evidence of this. If successful for the role, you will also be required to undertake a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check.
