About the Role :

This position is part of a team responsible for coordinating Work Integrated Learning (WIL) within the Industry and Community Hub, Faculty of Business and Law. The incumbent collaborates closely with the Business Manager, Academic Lead of the Industry and Community Hub, and WIL partners to promote and support WIL initiatives. Their primary focus is on developing and maintaining relationships with reputable businesses that provide meaningful industry experiences for Faculty of Business and Law students while they study.

Your responsibilities will include : Maintain and nurture relationships with heads of business to ensure a pipeline of continuing, high quality student placements;Raise awareness / brand of the WIL program via Curtin Events / networking events / social media and external events – careers expos;Build new relationships with hosts and ensuring a smooth and supportive WIL placement for all parties;Conduct research based on student demand for roles and focusing on pinpointing and contacting businesses within that field to raise awareness of WIL programFollow up on new leads with a view to build a relationship to ensure the business will want to host Curtin students as a priority over other universitiesDevelop internship roles with hosts & discipline leads / course and major leads to ensure students gain a valuable / credit-bearing experienceUndertake due diligence (Health and Safety) site visits to ensure both hosts and premises meet requirements; Ensure all legal procedures are in placeSupport students and host throughout (milestone checks / escalation point)Participate in strategizing as a team to implement best practises for WIL to increase placement numbers;Drive student engagement with key communications, events and employability opportunities which lead to increased interest in WIL / talent pipelineLiaise with industry partners for Mentoring and Industry Networking purposes, collobarating with Industry forengagement purposes with students studying specific majors such as Property, Financial Planning and assist with Mentoring those students;When required scope interest in other forms of WIL & Industry Engagement for the Faculty with Key relationships i.e. honours placements / longer placements / Captains of Industry;Undertake other activities which the incumbent might reasonably be expected to do, and which are consistent with the accountabilities and responsibilities as listed above, e.g. representing WIL at events such as Open Day, OrientationWho we are looking for : Demonstrated understanding of the student experience and commitment to the delivery of high quality client services which support the development of student skills.Demonstrated ability to build, maintain and manage relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including professional / industry stakeholders.Demonstrated oral and written communication skills with the ability to present information clearly and professionally.Highly developed organisational skills with the ability to prioritise, manage and meet the needs of a large number of stakeholders.Demonstrated oral and written communication skills with the ability to present information clearly and professionally.Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment in the resolution of day to day issues arising.Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as autonomously with limited direction.Industry & Community Hub : The Industry and Community Hub connects students, industry, and the community, creating practice-based learning opportunities that shape future-ready graduates.The Hub is a place where learning meets impact.
