- Ensure compliance with our clients Safety, Environmental and other policies.
- Ensure all incidents and hazards are reported in a timely manner.
- Effective interaction with all required stakeholders.
- Organise, undertake, and monitor effective grade control sampling programs to meet production requirements.
- Provide support for all geological aspects of the ongoing planning, production and reconciliation of the Iron Ore Project.
- Monitor the excavation of ore blocks to ensure dilution is minimised and ore recovery is maximised.
- Assist with daily database updates and data entry as required.
- Provide assistance to the site surveyors including conducting ore mark-ups, drill patterns and complete basic survey functions.
- Assist in the management of the onsite Production Fleet Management System - Wenco.
- A range of other activities to assist other areas of the Technical Services department.
- To be successful in this role, you'll need
- Good communication skills, written and oral, are essential
- Ability to carry out physical tasks such as blast hole sampling in sometimes hot and humid conditions.
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Strong computer skills, proficiency in Excel is desirable.
- Minimum of one years' experience in an operating mine (open pit preferred)
- Ability to work in a team focused environment
- Ability to think laterally and objectively in decision making processes
