Safe Roads Consultants (SRC) is seeking a motivated and proactive Traffic Management Planner.
- Key Responsibilities
- Prepare Traffic Guidance Schemes (TGS) and Traffic Management Plans (TMP) in line with industry standards and legislation.
- Develop, maintain and update both simple and complex TMPs and TGSs within a wide range of works scopes, such as highways, events, construction sites, mobile works, and both short-term and long-term projects.
- Complete tasks delegated by the in-house RTM in a timely manner.
- Review TMPs and TGSs, addressing feedback or concerns promptly.
- Communicate professionally with clients to gather project details such as scope of work, required resources, schedules, and specific project requirements.
- Foster relationships with existing clients and stakeholders while building connections with new partners.
- Assess historic traffic volume and related or relevant data to minimise impact on road networks and traffic flow when designing TMPs and TGSs.
- Perform job analysis, hazard identification, risk analysis and provide assessments and recommendations that aim to minimise or eliminate risk.
- Required Qualifications & Skills
- Current AWTM accreditation.
- Valid WA Driver's License.
- Full unrestricted Australian Working rights.
- Excellent time management & organisation, built on a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency with Adobe and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, etc).
- Proficiency with programs such as AutoCAD and / or RapidPlan.
- Working knowledge and interpretation of relevant legislation, standards and codes of practice relating to traffic management procedures and policies in WA.
- Ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication (both written and verbal English).
- Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and also individually.
- Proactive approach to task management.
- Enthusiastic, reliable and willing to help out where able.
