Job descriptionRelevant Diploma, Advanced Diploma, or Degree qualification. Minimum 3 years-experience in in building surveying. Registered Building Practitioner (BS-L or BS-U), or actively working towards registration. Sound knowledge of the Building Act, Regulations and Building Code of Australia. Proficiency in building surveying techniques, construction standards, and sustainable building practices. Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office applications and Perm Assist. Excellent report writing skills and attention to detail. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, team members, and stakeholders at all levels. Job DescriptionWe are an established firm based in Ivanhoe who specialise in boutique residential and commercial buildings. We are a team of experienced and highly specialised building surveyors who are passionate about delivering professional services to our clients.
THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Building Surveyor to join our building permits team. You'll work across an exciting mix of projects and play a role in delivering successful projects for our clients.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assess building permit applications.
- Answer incoming calls and scheduling all mandatory inspections.
- Review building permit documentation.
- Liaise directly with relevant consultants, authorities, clients, etc. to resolve queries.
- Provide professional technical advice to key stakeholders.
- Prepare reports and statutory documentation as necessary.
