- About the role
Reporting to the Community Outreach Specialist, you will provide administrative support for the Community Outreach and Education team across a variety of programs. The Community Team improves the welfare of animals and humans with a One Welfare approach, by direct service provision, education and supporting people to care for their animals.
Organise invoices (payment and creation) and maintain booking systems, including performing online and telephone enrolments and payments.Coordinate the allocation of onsite tours, visits and other education programs to education staff.Coordinate transport of animals including vehicle bookings and driver allocation for surgical transfers.Participate in outreach field activities such as community hub days, workshops etc.Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely public program advertisements, including monitoring and updating the website information.Assisting where necessary with animal handling including animal intake and discharge support.Raise community awareness and understanding of the positive and mutually beneficial links between human wellbeing and animal welfare.Contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment by effectively communicating and working collaboratively with peers across all departments, and consistently behaving in accordance with the RSPCA Queensland values and associated policies.Who are we looking for?Previous experience in an administration role, supporting a multi-function team.Excellent organisational and administration skills including experience in MS packages.Proven ability to cope well under pressure.Exceptional organisational and time management skills.High level communication skills both written and verbal.Proven customer service skills including experience in dealing with difficult customers.Exceptional attention to detail.A good sense of humour and the ability to work well in a team environment.Genuine interest in animal welfare and the objectives of RSPCA.Alignment and adherence to the RSPCA Qld mission, vision and values.Ability to perform physical duties including manual handling, and an ability to handle a minimum weight of 10 kilos.This is a full-time, 9 month parental leave contract, working 38 hours per week. Remuneration is commensurate with skills, qualifications and experience.
