The Role
A visit from Life Ed WA is greatly valued by schools, and in this exciting and unique role, you will deliver an extensive suite of health and wellbeing content to primary schools and early learning centres, aligned with the national Health and Physical Education curriculum.
Topics include nutrition, respectful relationships, alcohol, vaping, and other drugs, cybersafety, bullying, and personal safety – addressing the physical, social, and emotional health of children and young people.
Whilst the content and outcomes are already developed, you will bring to life each module to ensure that children are actively engaged and you are seen as a valuable resource to teachers and the school in general. You will be comfortable delivering parent information sessions, either face-to-face or online, and are a confident speaker.
The role will cover the majority of the Perth Metro Area, with travel to Regional and Country WA as required. This includes travel and overnight accommodation when needed, and details of this will be discussed at the interview.
Applicants must address the following selection criteria in their application : Demonstrated experience being an engaging and enthusiastic facilitator, particularly with children and young people. Participate in Community Events on weekends (e.g., Telethon). Keen interest in helping young people to make good decisions regarding their health, together with a relevant qualification or training to support this. Excellent time management and problem-solving skills, capable of being independent and willing to learn and enact the fast pace of a school incursion. Have a current unrestricted driver's license and reliable transport to travel. Hold a Working with Children, or the capacity to obtain one prior to commencement. What's in It for You :

We will provide full paid training; laptop; internet dongle, days in lieu, mileage reimbursement for extra work travel, and regular access to professional development. This role will be offered as a part-time Tuesday to Thursday position on a fixed-term contract from 28th April 2025 to 18 December 2025, with the option of a further 12 months contract depending on performance.
