Position Profile :
We are recruiting for Service Registrars specific to the field of Ophthalmology. This position provides and promotes high quality and patient centred care to inpatients and outpatients of the specialty under the supervision of consultant medical staff. It also provides training, supervision and education for Resident Medical Officers (RMOs) and medical students. The successful registrars, in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, will work to achieve National, State and Metropolitan Health Service performance standards and the National Safety and Quality Healthcare Standards.
Applicants will be considered for various positions across the Metropolitan Health Service participating in the Inter-Hospital Rotating Scheme (IHRS) including : Royal Perth Hospital (RPH); Fremantle Hospital (FH); and Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital (SCGH).

Royal Perth Hospital (RPH) is Perth’s inner city, tertiary adult hospital and part of the Royal Perth Bentley Group. Home to the State Major Adult Trauma Service, RPH offers tertiary-level emergency medicine, mental health, complex and elective surgical care, and specialist medical services. Fremantle Hospital (FH) is a 300-bed specialist hospital focused on providing high-quality aged care, mental health, secondary rehabilitation, planned surgeries and medical services.
Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital (SCGH) is one of Australia's leading teaching tertiary hospitals.
