Food Production Team Leader / Manager

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic Manager to lead and co-ordinate the daily work activities for our production team in a busy food manufacturing environment.

This is a full-time role, working 5 days a week including some weekends and public holidays as required. The bakery kitchen operates 7 days a week with a range of shift times within each day, between the hours of 7am and 11 : 30pm.

This is not an administrative office role. You will be hands-on and involved in production, working alongside the team for part of your week. Previous bakery experience is not required.

Reporting to the owners, and based at our Mandurah manufacturing bakery, your key responsibilities include :

• Train, develop and lead a highly engaged team
• Create production plans to meet demand
• Manage waste and consistency of quality
• Manage labour costs including rostering and staff coordination
• Drive improvements in line efficiencies and productivity
• Document and implement procedures and systems improvements
• Promote a strong sense of work health and safety

• Experience in a food manufacturing / handling environment

• Diligent attention to detail, high level organisation and multi-tasking skills
• Highly Desirable : Experience with principles of LEAN or a similar system (5S / Six Sigma etc.)
