What will you be doing?
Reporting to the Centre Service Manager, this role leads a team including 1 senior technician, 5 technicians and 4 apprentices. You are responsible for coordinating workshop operations which includes a variety of activities, including but not limited to.- Managing workshop daily activities and allocating repair orders to workshop staff.- Conducting fault diagnostic and quality control checks on all work performed- Checking vehicle safety reports to ensure quality standards are maintained.- Undertaking vehicle servicing and repairs when required- Managing and controlling end to end stock and parts management.- Adherence to Health and Safety legislative and RAC requirements
What are we looking for in you?- Recognised qualification in Automotive Trade- Minimum C Class Drivers licence and Motor Vehicle Repairers Licence- The ability to manage the day-to-day operations of a team.- An outstanding level of mechanical servicing and fault diagnostic skills- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including conflict resolution skills.- Strong level of computer literacy
This role requires an individual with proven hands-on leadership ability and experience, excellent prioritisation, and organisational skills along with a genuine desire to develop themselves and others.
