If so, we want to hear from you!About The RoleWe are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Commercial Analyst with a strong finance and project background to join our dynamic team.

This role offers the opportunity to work across sales, finance, and IT systems, ensuring data integrity, improving reporting processes, and supporting strategic decision-making.Key Responsibilities : Provide backup support for IT design systems, ensuring seamless integration and functionality.Maintain and improve data processes and reporting accuracy, emphasizing high data integrityAnalyse sales data, product information, and project performance to provide actionable insights.Manage and optimise data systems, leveraging Business Intelligence (BI) tools to enhance reporting and connectivity across sales functions.Support the design and implementation of backup IT systems to ensure high data availability and system resilience.Drive initiatives to improve sales reporting connectivity, including sales area allocation change management and change process oversight.Review, verify, and cleanse large datasets, including customer reports, addresses, and sales information, ensuring high data quality and integrity.Develop and maintain Sales Cube, Transaction Cube, and other BI models to facilitate accurate reporting.De-risk reliance on key personnel by documenting processes and establishing automated or standardised workflows.Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Finance, IT, Product Management) to clarify requirements, resolve anomalies, and standardise data practices.Identify, analyse, and resolve data inconsistencies, duplicates, and anomalies, applying business rules for categorisation and classification.Consolidate customer accounts across multiple entities, ensuring alignment in pricing, reporting, and contractual obligations.Document data logic, process changes, and assumptions to ensure transparency and auditability.Prioritise data correction efforts based on business impact, ensuring accuracy in financial and operational reporting.Qualifications & Skills : Proven experience in an analytical role, ideally with pricing or commercial analysis exposure or background in finance and project management.Experience with Power BI report and dashboard developmentA background in finance, accounting, or data analytics, with strong attention to detailBachelor's degree in finance, Data Science, Statistics, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus).CPA qualification is an added advantage.Strong hands-on experience with data warehousing concepts and BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Salesforce).Proficiency and sound knowledge of relational models for database management (SQL Server preferred).Excellent analytical skills with an ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights.Proficient in Excel, including advanced functions like VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and data visualization tools.Experience in cleaning and managing large datasets, along with an understanding of data quality issues.What We Offer : Join a globally respected brand and market leader with highly skilled technical and people managers across ANZInternal progression opportunitiesInsurance benefits within the company superannuation planFocus on employee Wellbeing & Employee Assistance ProgramsAnnual Salary Review processOnsite parking (available at each SMC location)About UsSMC Corporation is a manufacturer of electro - pneumatic and industrial automation components, successful in providing innovative products and solutions to customers across a wide array of industries.
