Element 25 is delivering the next generation of manganese processing and the Butcherbird Expansion Project (BBX) is at the heart of it. We're looking for a Project Engineer with a proven ability to plan, execute and support small to medium-scale industrial projects. This role will take you from the design phase through to commissioning and ongoing operational support— not just managing the process, but shaping it .
What You’ll Do
- Deliver end-to-end project engineering across mechanical, civil, structural, and piping scopes
- Utilise solid understanding of mechanical engineering principles and their application in plant design and operations.
- Coordinate cost, schedule, risk and contractor management
- Contribute to safe, efficient, and sustainable plant design and implementation
- Support commissioning, start-up, and long-term operational readiness
- Travel to site and vendor locations as needed
- Participate in hazard studies and continuous improvement initiatives
- Champion data integrity, documentation control, and process governance
- Play a key role in Element 25’s evolving project management and operational systems
You Bring
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or closely related discipline)
- 7+ years’ experience in project / plant design, implementation, and contractor engagement
- As a Mechanical Engineer, demonstrated experience with civil, structural, and piping scopes
- Deep understanding of engineering standards, risk, and compliance in resources or processing industries
- Hands-on project delivery experience with a track record of on-time, in-budget results
- Excellent communication and coordination skills across disciplines
- A safety-first mindset and a strong desire to contribute to operational excellence
