As part of its long-term strategy MRP will be transitioning to battery minerals in order to align with the evolving energy landscape and sustainable resource development.Job DescriptionThe RoleWe are seeking an experienced and innovative Mining Engineer, Geologist or Metallurgist to fulfill the role of Manager - Mining Technical Services at MRP.This role will play a key part in maximizing the value of MRP's investments within Australia and internationally.Reporting to the General Manager of Resource Development (Mining Technical Services), the Manager – Mining Technical Services will provide mining technical input and advice on current Joint Venture Coal Projects, and potential Coal and Battery Minerals Projects.Key responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to : Providing technical expertise in evaluating battery minerals acquisitions in support of Mitsui Resources' growth strategy;Providing technical expertise to ensure sound governance at an operational level;Conducting monthly forecasting and reporting of Joint Venture's to local management and our Head Office in Tokyo, Japan;Providing technical support to mining technology investment (mets);Contributing to the sound governance of project assessments and project implementation; andEnhancing Mitsui's Resources knowledge base in mining operations;Travel will be required based on project needs.Desired Skills and ExperienceThe PersonYou will enjoy working within a small successful team of technical experts and bring your own proven experience to the company.
