We are seeking an experienced Work, Health and Safety (WHS) Consultant to work collaboratively with operational teams to implement and monitor our work, health and safety management system. This includes supporting policies, training and practices that address Bethanie's priority WHS hazards and risks, to meet compliance obligations and maintain ISO45001 certification.
- Permanent role, working full-time hours (note 0.8 or 0.9 FTE also considered)
- Flexible working arrangements supported, including opportunity to work from home / remotely
- Based at our Perth CBD office with the requirement to travel regularly to our sites located from Yanchep to Dalyellup in the south-west
- About the role
Reporting to the Senior WHS Consultant, and working closely with our WHS team, you will be responsible for duties including :
Leading site WHS meetings with managers and Health and Safety Rep (HSRs) on a bi-monthly basis across all allocated sitesSupport and develop HSRs to ensure effective consultation, engagement and organisational benefits through their effective engagementUndertaking incident investigations for notifiable and high-risk incidents in a consultative manner, with a focus on system failures and practicable recommendationsResponsibility for WHS Committee agenda, meeting preparation and action itemsYour skills, knowledge and experienceYou are a practical thinker with the ability to provide sound advice, analyse risks, make good judgements, and solve problems. You naturally develop effective working relationships by building credibility, respect and rapport with your stakeholders. You will also bring the following :
