The Alliance Manager City Events reports to the General Manager Community Development and oversees the City Events team to curate, develop and manage outstanding events programs for the City of Perth that improve social, cultural and economic outcomes.
This strategic leadership position is critical to the success of the City's events strategy as we strive to ensure that Perth is the events heart of WA. A crucial part of this role will be to develop an overall events and sponsorship strategy to strengthen the City's position as a premier location for major events and festivals.
You will engage at a senior level to advocate and develop events, sponsorship and partnership opportunities, both within and external to the organisation. The role is also required to oversee the approval of events and obstructions to ensure success and compliance of third-party activities in the city.
We would like to hear from you if you also have excellent stakeholder management and advocacy skills and have strengthened outcomes through collaboration. Additionally, well-honed judgment skills and an innovative mindset will be important to the success of the role.

In return, you will receive a competitive base salary of $155,000 plus superannuation and up to an additional 4% based on personal contribution. A $17,000 vehicle allowance with a car bay also applies. This is a unique opportunity to join a Capital City Council to bring the community plans to "life" and directly impact the groups they are designed to assist.
