Our client is a leading civil construction company working with top tier mining clients across Western Australia.
Currently they are seeking a
- Civil Construction Superintendent
- to join the growing team in a permanent capacity to manage the sites overall civil operations and provide leadership to the wider teams ensuring a safe system of work and environment.
- Accountabilities include, however are not limited to
- Ensure line managers demonstrate effective leadership for the project team
- Ensure HSE induction training programs are carried out for all employees, contractors and visitors
- Instigate training and promote awareness to ensure a robust risk management process is in place
- Encourage good environmental practices across the team
- Ensure investigations are undertaken
- Arrange for HSE presentations and promote Health, Safety and Mental Health awareness
- Optimise resource allocation
- Track production performance
- Work with the team to create project schedules
- Coordinate inspections
- Manage changes and variances in the project
- Review project performance
- Lead continuous improvement strategies
- About you
You will bring 10 years previous experience within mining and the resources sector, essentially within dam tailings and bulk earthworks. Specific experience is required with production activities including Load & Haul, select fill management, placement compaction and final trim to specifications. Demonstrated capability in managing and developing Indigenous Participation Groups through employment opportunities.
Demonstrated, positive safety leadership and safety behaviour skills are essential.
