Position overview An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and passionate General Physician to join our team and be involved in the launch of the Brellah Weight Loss Clinic, which includes establishing the Allurion Gastric Balloon, a safe, non-invasive weight loss outpatient procedure that requires no surgery, endoscopy, or anaesthesia.

You will work with an extraordinary team of highly qualified clinicians and allied health professionals, playing a pivotal role in delivering personalised care and support to patients on their weight loss journey.

Responsibilities : Provide onsite consultations to screen if patients are eligible for the weight loss device Perform placement of gastric balloon and confirm position on X-ray guidance Identify and explain risks, providing information about the Allurion programme in a sensitive manner Provide follow-up consultations and closely monitor patients' progress post-placement of gastric balloon Develop individualised plans to implement evidence-based strategies and interventions for long-term lifestyle changes Collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary team (Practice Nurse, Gastroenterologists, Dietitians, and Administrative Assistants) to ensure cohesive patient care Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria : Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) with current registration to practice in Australia Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) is preferred Special interest and experience in weight management Strong interpersonal communication skills, demonstrating empathy and the ability to connect with people What we offer : Competitive remuneration package including incentives Flexible hours and days Work in a modern, state-of-the-art medical practice Part-time hours – ideal to supplement your current job or for work-life balance A friendly and supportive multidisciplinary team environment No recruitment agencies
