The council caters to a population of 350,740 people from more than 234 different cultures. Around 50 per cent of residents are aged 34 or younger. It also cares for more than 1,100 environmental and recreational parks. Many of our parks feature dog off-leash areas, exercise facilities, play equipment and skate ramps.
- About the Role
The Business Services Officer role is based in the Development Assessment Branch which is a busy, high profile branch of Council with about 160 staff.
The role provides a full range of administration and systems support to a diverse range of internal and external customers within DA, Council and the Community. Includes but is not limited to :
- Significant document management activity within legislatively driven time-frames.
- Liaising with colleagues across the Branch and other areas of Council in responding to customer queries. Queries are triaged via written and verbal channels - e.g. frontline telephone support or correspondence out to the Community.
- About You
- Can type 50 words per minute (minimum).
- Proven experience in a Customer Service position.
- Administration background (within Government is advantageous).
- Experience working with Microsoft Teams, Adobe, Outlook and Document Management Systems.
- Passionate attitude that can be resilient and take a knock back and keep working
- Managers personal workloads and works autonomously, whilst operating in a dynamic, customer-1st environment
