An exciting vacancy has arisen for an experienced individual with freight forwarding customer service and operations experience to join our Hendra office in Brisbane in a newly created SME Account Representative role to manage and grow our SME portfolio.
- Responsibilities
- Work closely with Sales for every new SME account allocated and be responsible for the implementation and growth of new and existing accounts
- Increase the Gross Profit of the SME portfolio through the increase of Profit Per Job and file count increase
- Ensure customer data in all operational systems and Customer Operating Procedures (COPs) are correct and communicated to operational departments
- Ensure customer and agent invoicing and financial cost processing (local, overseas, commissions) are completed according to KPIs
- Monitor and action service requirements for designated accounts, ensuring prompt, relevant and accurate responses
- Accurately record information about instructions and requests from clients, relay information or instructions to other departments / overseas offices and branches promptly, and provide timely feedback to customers
- Quote freight and insurance rates per KPIs and ensure rates and particular requirements are appropriately recorded and deployed
- Inspect incoming shipping documents to ensure they are complete and accurate and react in a timely manner if there are any discrepancies while keeping a record to enable preventative action
- Ensure Organisation and Relationships are set up correctly allowing auto completion of jobs and billings in CW1
- Manage data accuracy of the status reports generated and automatically delivered by CW1
- Skills required
- Good knowledge of freight forwarding operational processes
- Results focused and commercially minded with the ability to build and maintain relationship and portfolio growth
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Customer service driven attitude, highly motivated, proactive attitude and be highly adaptive to the changing environment
- Co-operative working style, informing stakeholders / departments pro-actively and taking preventive actions with the goal of customer retention / satisfaction
