About the Role The Operations and Cyber Security Lead will oversee and enhance our operational efficiency & reliability and cyber security posture. This critical role is responsible for integrating cyber security best practices into daily operations, managing risk, and ensuring the smooth functioning of our systems and processes.

Responsibilities (Include but are not limited to) : Operational Leadership :

Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
Develop, implement, and maintain operational policies, procedures, and workflows.
Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
Manage and mentor a team of operations and security professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
Monitor system performance and implement proactive measures to prevent disruptions.
Manage vendor relationships and contracts related to operations and cyber security.
Identify potential risks and vulnerabilities, and develop strategies to mitigate them.

Security Management :

Develop and implement comprehensive cyber security strategies, policies, standards and procedures to protect the organization's information assets.

Conduct regular security risk assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies.

Oversee security operations, including firewall management, threat detection, incident response, vulnerability management, and security monitoring.

Ensure compliance with relevant security regulations and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR).

Develop and deliver security awareness training programs for employees.

Stay up-to-date with the latest cyber threats, trends, and technologies, and proactively implement security measures to address emerging risks.

Strategic Planning and Leadership :

Develop and execute strategic plans to improve IT operations, enhance cyber security, and align IT initiatives with business goals.

Provide leadership and guidance to IT staff, promoting professional development and fostering a collaborative team environment.

Manage IT budgets, optimize resource allocation, and ensure cost-effectiveness.

Communicate effectively with senior management, providing regular updates on IT operations, security posture, and strategic initiatives.

Evaluate and recommend new technologies and solutions to improve efficiency, security, and performance.

Cross-Functional Collaboration :

Work closely with other IT teams (both local and international) and other departments to integrate security and operations best practices into all aspects of the business.

Provide security guidance and expertise to project teams.

Participate in the planning and implementation of new systems and technologies, ensuring security is a primary consideration.

Communicate security risks and recommendations to senior management.

Compliance and Auditing :

Ensure compliance with all applicable security policies, standards, and regulations.

Coordinate and manage internal and external security audits.

Conduct cyber security assessment on all new vendors supplying technology related products and / or services

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

About You

5 years of experience in operations management, with a strong focus on cyber security.

Strong technical expertise in a wide range of IT areas, including network security, infrastructure management, systems administration, and cloud computing in particular Azure.

In-depth knowledge of cyber security principles, practices, and technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection / prevention systems, vulnerability management, and incident response.

Familiarity with relevant security standards, regulations, and frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, HIPAA).

Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical and operational issues.

Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or equivalent are highly desirable.
